It was my first time in years to go to an amusement park. . .a big reason was the lines, another would be because I was too big for most of the rides, and last did I mention the lines. Anyway, as I got geared up to get onto the first roll-a-coaster called "Goliath", how fitting. . . I waited for about 45 minutes or so with my wife to ride a less than 3 minutes ride, but. . .here again we were celebrating my 100 plus pound weight loss victory. . . and wouldn't you know it, the ride didn't fit with one seat belt. . . but. . .with two!! So, although I have a little more ways to go, I sucked it in and we were on are way. . . but, in contrast to, somebody had to make a comment about moving out of their seat and switching with me and my wife so that I could ride the ride. . . like being in the 3rd row as opposed to the 4th row was in any way going to jeopardize this person's rollercoaster riding experience. . . even after 100 plus pounds of weight loss. . . sad isn't it? The good news, I got to ride every single ride in the park, won a "name that tune" type of game show with my wife, got to cut in line twice as a prize for winning, and I was the one who had a blast. . . sorry mister-so-and-so-who-has-never-been-fat-a-day-in-your-life-had-to-move-to-the-4th-row-instead-of-the-3rd-row-in-order-to-accomodate-a-once-but-soon-to-be-no-more-fat-man! Consider that mister, your random act of kindness for former fat people around the world!!!
In other news,
met a new trainer at the Kyle location of Anytime Fitness, he and I became good friends already. . .he is 290 pounds of super heavy-duty muscle, and I am excited to work out with someone who can turn my flab into fab. . . so now I will possibly have two trainers---one for cardio and strength endurance and one for weights and even more strength training. . . As we were talking, he had told me that he has the same problem riding rides at amusement parks. . . the difference is mister so-and-so-would-have-moved-ever-so-nicely-in-order-to-accomodate-my-new-trainer-friend-for-fear-of-being-pummeled-into-submission-and-be-forced-to-ride-the-5th-row-because-he-got-flipped-over-the-fourth-row!
Have fun and join me in the fight against the bulge. . .
